Once executed, the agent will open in the “Equipment” tab. First, go to the ‘Configuration’ tab to enter the key for the client being installed. Click on “Enter/View key”:
Each customer's key can be found in the MPS Portal, in the Customers menu, as shown in the image below:
Returning to the agent, after entering the customer's password, we confirm and save.
Now we will activate DocMPS services to monitor, send, update, and search the network.
To do this, click on Activate Services.
Once the services are active, we move on to configuring equipment monitoring. We can add specific subnets so that, every day at a certain time, the agent performs a search on those registered subnets.
After registering the desired subnets, we can perform a search to verify all the devices that will be found in the scan.
Or, if you prefer, you can force reading directly on the desired devices so that the agent only monitors those specific IP addresses.
Returning to the “Devices” tab, we can see the devices that are being monitored by the MPS agent.
Data collected and sent
When taking a reading, the agent collects the data available in the MIB of the devices, such as:
• Model
• Serial number
• Information fields (contact and location) indicated in the MIB
• Production counters
• Equipment events
• Supplies and their respective status
• Equipment IP address
Before being sent, this data is encrypted and then transmitted to the DocService data center using the protocol defined in the agent configuration.
Shipping validation process:
To validate the process of sending the information collected by the agent, we can restart the agent services, viewing the Send folder (C:\DocMps\Send) open, to ensure that the readings are not being held back.
These readings should leave the folder automatically, indicating that they have been sent.
In cases of blocking or restriction in the client environment, the address for creating the sending exception is sender.docmps.com.br, via the HTTPS protocol, port 443.
